On November 17, 2023, FIFTY FIFTY won the IS Rising Star Award at the first Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) Song Day held at Inspire Arena in Incheon. This award is given to emerging artists with great potential. The group’s renewed comeback as a five-member team in September 2023, following internal challenges, solidified their growth and musical potential.

In an interview with a Korean daily Ilgan Sports , members shared their thoughts on 2024. When asked to describe the year in one word or sentence, Keena chose “Hope,” emphasizing the potential for greater synergy in the future. “Based on the good things happening now, we’re determined to produce more synergy and deliver better music,” she said. Athena chose “Happiness,” Moon Chanelle picked “Dream,” and Yewon said “Confirmation,” reflecting their personal growth and achievements. Hana likened their journey to filling a blank canvas with vibrant colors, stating, “Each of us has unique and beautiful qualities, and I believe we can create a wonderful picture together.”
Overcoming Challenges and Starting Fresh
The group has faced both excitement and struggles since reuniting as a five-member team. Keena admitted feeling pressure during their showcase but expressed her resolve to focus on challenges. “Instead of feeling burdened, I now see challenges as opportunities. We want to move forward by showcasing diverse music,” she said.

Keena stated, “Our priority is strengthening FIFTY FIFTY as a brand. We’ll do our best to show individual strengths while enhancing the team’s musicality. We’ll unveil each member’s charm little by little through our group activities.”
Exploring New Musical Horizons
When asked about their ultimate goals in music, Keena shared, “We want to create healing and empowering music for people, regardless of the genre. The name FIFTY FIFTY represents diversity, and while we’re known for easy-listening music, we’ll challenge ourselves to showcase more styles, including girl-crush concepts.” Moon Chanelle added, “We’ve shown our soft, pink side so far, but each member has hidden charisma. We’ll reveal these strengths gradually, so please look forward to it.”
