ATTRAKT’s CEO Jeon Hongjun explained the detailed selection process for FIFTY FIFTY’s new members. Seven trainees were evaluated from December to April, ultimately resulting in the current lineup. According to Jeon, “Seven trainees were with us from December to March. Moon Chanelle, Yewon, and Hana joined in December, and Athena in March. We considered personality, group compatibility, and skill levels. After the final evaluation in early April, we confirmed the members.” This thorough process highlights ATTRAKT’s commitment to creating a balanced and cohesive team.

Moon Chanelle and Yewon, now FIFTY FIFTY members, previously participated in Belift Lab’s audition program, JTBC’s ‘Are You Next,’ aiming to join the group ILLIT under HYBE’s label. Although they were not chosen for ILLIT, they continued as trainees with Belift, eventually meeting Jeon. “Moon Chanelle and Yewon were Belift trainees, and Belift allowed them to audition,” Jeon explained. This opportunity ultimately brought the two talented members to FIFTY FIFTY.

FIFTY FIFTY Member Hana’s Talent Spotted by ATTRAKT

Hana was a content creator known as ‘Singing Haram’ before joining FIFTY FIFTY. ATTRAKT’s scouting team noticed her potential early on. Jeon admired her clean, unique voice, which he found rare in K-pop. He said, “I was captivated by her vocal tone and saw her performing guitar, piano, and bass in videos. She has an impressive understanding of music and shows a calm, grounded personality.” Hana’s instrumental skills and unique sound added a distinct element to the group.

Athena’s Unique Path to Becoming a FIFTY FIFTY Member

Athena’s recruitment journey to FIFTY FIFTY was particularly special. She submitted a video from Sweden that showcased her distinctive voice. Despite concerns over cultural differences and her lack of experience as a trainee, Athena’s growth was swift. Jeon noted, “Initially, I was worried about the cultural gap and her lack of training. But after just three weeks, her dancing transformed, and she showed immense growth. At the April evaluation, Athena ranked first, demonstrating her potential and rapid progress.”

Keena’s Evolving Role and Group Synergy

Keena, originally FIFTY FIFTY’s rapper, has now become a captivating vocalist with a distinctive tone, complementing the new members’ talents. Jeon praised Keena’s skill and adaptability, emphasizing her importance in the group’s success. “Keena is the core, and her talent ensures she harmonizes well with the new faces. If she lacked skill, there would be limits to the group’s support, but her talent brings it all together,” Jeon noted.
