NewJeans’ Urgent Live Broadcast Against HYBE
NewJeans recently held an urgent live broadcast to voice their strong protest against HYBE. The group demanded that HYBE restore ADOR’s original management structure, where CEO Min Heejin oversaw both management and production. The members titled the live broadcast “What NewJeans Wants to Say” and aired it on YouTube, showing their somber expressions. Hyein expressed concerns about their future and clarified that they prepared this broadcast solely to communicate their own message.
Minji’s Statements During the NewJeans Live Broadcast
Following Hyein, Minji continued by stating that their message was directed at HYBE. She mentioned that despite their attempts to communicate with the management, they felt unheard. Minji emphasized that, since their debut, she had built a strong trust with Min Heejin, who differed from other adults and eased their fears. This trust is now at risk due to recent developments within HYBE.
NewJeans Addresses Trust Issues with HYBE
The members also shared their dissatisfaction with HYBE’s handling of their privacy and trust issues. Minji pointed out that several unreasonable incidents occurred after their debut, including the unauthorized release of personal pre-debut records. This incident deeply shocked them and eroded their trust in HYBE. Hanni added that despite raising these concerns with HYBE alongside their parents and Min Hee-jin, HYBE dismissed them, leading to even more uncertainty about whom to trust moving forward.
Hanni Shares an Incident During NewJeans’ Live Broadcast
She shared a personal episode where she encountered another idol member and their manager in a makeup space. She mentioned that the manager, loud enough for her to hear, told the member to ignore them. Minji expressed her shock after hearing about Hanni’s experience. She said that although they reported it to the company, no action was taken, and the other team never acknowledged their wrongdoing or apologized.
NewJeans’ Concerns and a Call to Action in Live Broadcast
In conclusion, Minji urged HYBE to restore ADOR under Min Heejin’s leadership, criticizing the company for appearing inhumane. She implored HYBE and Chairman Bang to make a wise decision by the 25th to normalize ADOR’s management and production under Min Heejin. Meanwhile, ADOR has stated that Min Heejin will remain as an internal director, and production will be separated from management in line with HYBE’s multi-label operation principles. However, Min Heejin’s side contested this decision, calling it unlawful and misaligned with shareholder agreements.

It was HYBE’s money that was invested in their recruitments, training, productions, and HYBE’s stature that got them brand deals and big ads. They have forgotten who fed them. They are done. Leave? Fine but pay back HYBE’s investments then.
