Jeon Hongjun’s Media Interviews
Jeon Hongjun, the CEO of ATTRAKT, has conducted several interviews with the media. He has appeared in interviews posted by In the Pann twice. Notably, during his interview with IZM, he shared candid stories not mentioned in other discussions. This opportunity allows us to examine Jeon Hongjun’s human side.
Recent Events and Warnings
Q) On September 11, Dispatch revealed a recording of Ahn Sung-il and three Warner executives tampering with the parents of the dismissed members. Does this article serve as a warning against the actions of the three former members trying to disrupt FIFTY FIFTY’s return?
A) That’s correct. We aimed for a fresh start, but they played with the media around the same time. Although we planned to reveal this in court, we could not remain silent.
Jeon Hongjun Discusses Keena’s Mother’s Support
Q) Before Keena’s return, a YouTube comment from Keena’s mother gained attention.
A) I learned that she did not consult Keena before posting the comment; she did it on her own. I felt her sincerity. As a father, I understand the parental instinct to prioritize one’s child. This understanding led me to ask the former members to return.
Jeon Hongjun’s Thoughts on New Music and Reactions
Q) Which song from the new mini-album Love Tune resonates the most?
A) The pre-released track “Starry Night” uplifts my mood. When it plays on the radio, listeners typically respond in one of four ways: they increase the volume, leave it unchanged, change the channel, or turn off the radio. For me, “Starry Night” is a song that deserves increased volume; it’s a healing song.
Jeon Hongjun Reflects on Keena’s Emotional Story
Q) The member introduction videos on the official YouTube channel have received attention, particularly Keena’s emotional video.
A) In a nutshell, it’s a confession. hope the public recognizes Keena’s struggles. I can imagine how much pain she felt. I advised her that while people understand her past decisions, they support her return. She needs to be a role model for fans and must remain genuine.
Overcoming Challenges
Q) There were challenging moments, but now it’s a blessing in disguise.
A) It’s both a blessing and a turning point. A year ago, no one knew ATTRAKT, but now we’ve built a brand worth 100 billion won. I believe these meaningful challenges were given to us by a higher power. Without public support, it would have been tough. At that time, I felt wronged, thinking I had no evidence. I even sold my Rolex Submariner and Audi Q7 to support the members. (laughs) I’m happy I can provide a good environment for them now.
Jeon Hongjun Addresses the “Cupid” Copyright Issue
Q) Has the copyright issue regarding “Cupid” been resolved?
A) This lawsuit might go to the Supreme Court. Legally, The Givers purchased the copyright for “Cupid,” but they violated the service contract by acquiring it illegally. According to that contract, all actions needed reporting, which they failed to do. We lost our chance to purchase it.
Performance Rights for FIFTY FIFTY
Q) Does this mean FIFTY FIFTY cannot perform “Cupid”?
A) They can perform it but cannot release it in album or streaming formats. However, they can still perform it live. Regardless of lawsuits and conflicts, we cannot hinder performances for the audience. We have re-recorded some tracks from the mini-album The Fifty for future concerts.
Jeon Hongjun Highlights Teamwork in K-pop
Q) After 30 years in the entertainment industry, what’s a vital quality?
A) As I mentioned earlier, teamwork is crucial. K-pop’s global popularity stems from the power of the word “we.” The history of banding together for survival has cultivated a unique K-pop culture. I believe teamwork is the foundation that turned a small country into a cultural powerhouse.

So glad FIFTY FIFTY can keep singing Cupid! Was worried about KR laws. Hope they perform it in the US too!
What on earth did Keena’s mom comment on YouTube? So curious about what she said. Anyone know?
